Corporate News ReleaseBioniche Animal Health Appoints New Leaders of European and Australian/Asian Operations
23/12/04 BELLEVILLE, ON, December 23, 2004 – Bioniche Life Sciences Inc. (TSX: BNC), a research-based, technology-driven Canadian biopharmaceutical company, today announced that it has moved the Managing Director of its Australian/Asian Animal Health operations to Europe and has appointed a new General Manager for the Australia/Asia Animal Health operations effective January 4, 2005. Andrew Grant, formerly Managing Director of Bioniche Animal Health A/Asia has been appointed Managing Director of Bioniche Animal Health Europe, while Chris O’Callaghan replaces Andrew in Australia. Mr. O’Callaghan has ten years of experience in sales and management with the agricultural and animal health industries in Australia. Most recently, he was Marketing Manager of Ridley AgriProducts, the largest stock feed manufacturer in Australia. He has a Masters degree in Marketing from Monash University and a B.Agr.Sc. from La Trobe University. “Chris is a tremendous addition to the Bioniche Animal Health team in Australia,” said Martin Warmelink, President of Bioniche Animal Health. “His broad knowledge and experience will serve Bioniche well in our future development plans.” “We’re excited to be enhancing the European presence of our animal health products with Andrew Grant now based in Galway, Ireland,” added Graeme McRae, President & CEO of Bioniche Life Sciences Inc. “Andrew did a tremendous job for us in Australia, increasing business by ten-fold in the six years he was based there. He has left the Australian operations in great shape for Chris O’Callaghan to take over.” Bioniche Animal Health will be launching its follicle stimulating hormone, Folltropin-V, in Europe in January. Folltropin-V already enjoys 65% of the world market. Mr. Grant will be leading this launch, in addition to promoting sales of other Bioniche Animal Health products in Europe. ###
